Archival historyGeorge Capron of Stoke Doyle, a solicitor, purchased Southwick Hall in 1840 from Walter Johnson Lynne. He had also inherited a Warwickshire estate from a cousin the Rev. John Shukburgh. The family remains at Southwick.
